Low Emission Flares

The Low Emission Flare employs a high-efficiency surface combustion technique that burns premixed gas and air on a permeable woven metal fibre mat surface. The flame is shielded and heat is directed upwards by outer walls that are protected by an insulating layer. Heat radiation to the surrounding area is minimised, and local ambient temperature rises are limited to less than 5oC. Furthermore, the Low Emission Flare is a small footprint modular system designed for ease of transportation and rapid rig-up. The system is completely self-contained except for power for the control system. The concept of the Low Emission Flare offers a cost-reducing solution regarding all industrial waste gas elimination applications.

Low Temperature Flares

Low Temperature Flares reach a temperature of up to 815 degrC (1500 degrF) not insulated and without combustion temperature control. The LTF’s combustion efficiency is greater than 96 percent with max size 7MWatt.

Medium Temperature Flares

The Medium Temperature Flare is a completely enclosed flame combustor with a temperature range of 815-955 degrC ( 1500-1750 degrF) and is insulated without temperature control. The MTF is able to operate at very low inlet pressures (as low as 2”w.c.) and only requires 220 btu/ft3 gas to maintain combustion. The system also has a full 10:1 turn down ratio.

High Temperature Flares

ABUTEC BV’s High Temperature Flare is completely enclosed combustion with low NOx and CO emissions, greater than 99.99% DE, full 10:1 turn down without gas booster, offers the lowest make-up fuel consumption and is able to burn very low calorific gas. HTF’s are proven in all applications, are compliance ready and are more cost competitive than traditional enclosed flares or vapor combustors.
